I had a hunch tonights tweets would be a conversation piece here...frankly too many posts to read thru all, but I did check out a few of them.
So... I will try to explain (as much as I can recall) what went down today.
9 PM- we were EXPECTING Jensen & Jared. Info we had put them on that flight...we had nothing on Misha.
A driver shows up for "Ackles" a driver shows up for "Misha Collins" but no driver for Jared.
Jensen comes in first, chatting, signing & selling out Misha by telling us he was coming thru in a few minutes. he then told us Jared was on the later flight. Pleasant as usual.
About 5 mins later Misha comes out with a woman (unsure if its a gf/wife/agent/pr person) he also signs willingly, chatting with us, in quite a good mood.
Next flight at 11:45, Jareds flight. Prior to his arrival a driver showed up, holding a sign "Jarad Padacki", we all had a good laugh at it as both first & last name were misspelled & I actually was thinking if Jared was in a good enough mood, I was going to try & get a pic of him holding that sign. In a good mood, he would do it...but this was not the case.
Instead of coming out the regular way people come out to meet their drivers, he went out the way he would go when he drives himself. He had a phone to his ear & was speed walking out there. We all made the jaunt over to there expecting him to probably be ok, and also, to tell him his driver was inside.
The first person to approach finally got his attention the second time, he turned around with 3 of us there by then & went "holy f*ck" then turned around again & went back to walking away from us. Surprised, we all looked at each other like "what do we do now" so 1 of the hounds, pursuit23, tried explaining to him his driver was inside. He outright ignored even listening to him, and continued going thru the taxi queue and talking on the phone. He made every effort with his actions to avoid interacting with us by this point...we essentially sort of just gave up at that point & watched, expecting him still to realize his driver was inside.
Pursuit went and got his driver from inside. The driver then attempted to get his attention. On multiple occasions he attempted to let him know he was there, even putting his hand on Jareds arm. Jared had no interest in hearing it. He then got in the cab. Jared made no effort to get out of the cab, and left.
Now, since I have had a chance to take in the actions a little more, and think about it... I will suggest that what Yappydog did on the set earlier in the week, might not have been the breaking point for him tonight. Whatever the phone call was that he was taking perhaps was that breaking point.
That being said...1 of the cast specifically stated the crew was a little miffed to say the least with someone this week that was around the set. he gave no details, but I have already heard the details from others.
What yappy said about the situation may be right in theory, but the fact still remains, HE is the one that called people over to try & get Jensen, HE hung with the people, giving the (albeit misinformed) impression they were with him, HE is the one that went 3 consecutive days to the set to pap & graph it, neither of which crew are overly fond of happening ONCE, let alone 3 days in a row.
Was tonights actions ALL his fault?. Unlikely. However, Jared has in the past been a bit short with us compared to Jensen..and its always after some type of interaction with someone that is associated with "us". This one. The day leaving for Comic-Con he was a bit short with those that were there only 18 hrs after he signed for 4 people at the same airport, and last year after he got reamed out by Clif for signing for us on departing 1 trip that Clif was with him. Only when something out of the ordinary happens is he ever like this... that being said, i think whatever his phone call tonight was about had more to do with his mood than anything we, or Yappy did.
If I missed a detail...sorry. I dont think anything relevant was missed. So, now you all know.
